Up until recently, CSS popup methods were limited to the hovering of links because that was the only type of element Internet Explorer for Windows was able to "hover." Things are a little different now, because we can hover elements other than links, and that includes real block elements! Where these new tooltips really shine is in providing a little visual flair to a page. Imagine seeing a photo of an electric motor, and as each part is hovered, a popup appears nearby with an exploded diagram of that part. A little thought will provide many more useful ideas, and yet so far we have only scratched the surface. Come explore this new method and get a feel for what is possible.
