Page 1 of 1 Dreamweaver MX offers native support for plenty of document types, and new document types can be added for use within Dreamweaver. With all of these documents comes a need to customize them for your specific needs.
Want a custom charset, or a special doctype? Or a specific initial page title? If so, then you need to go digging into the depths of the Dreamweaver configuration folder. Well, you used to have to. Edit Document Templates allows you to easily open any of the new document templates that Dreamweaver has available to it.
You can access this extension through Edit -> New Document Templates...
Select the document you want to edit from the New Document Templates field. Click OK. Then edit to your heart's content.
